About Hunter Landen Plumbing...
My interest in the trades began when I was about 12 years old. My father, David Landen is a custom furniture maker and owner of Apple Wood Furniture. He gave me the opportunity to help him with projects and learn about the trades at an early age.
In 1992 after graduating with a concentration in drafting and plumbing from Wake Technical Community College. I began working as a plumber in commercial construction. My first plumbing job was with Triangle Mechanical, Inc. which allowed me to work on large commercial projects including the install of plumbing systems at the newly built Sprint telephone building in Wake Forest, NC.
After gaining a solid base in commercial construction, I delved into residential plumbing remodeling. I began working in residential plumbing remodeling with Tim Peck, who still works as a plumber and building contractor in the Carrboro/ Chapel Hill area. I enjoyed working with homeowners to help them improve their homes and decided that I should start my own business.
I earned my North Carolina Class 1 Plumbing License in 1995 and established Hunter Landen Plumbing. While my service area was focused in Raleigh, I built my reputation on remodeling, small new construction projects, and repairs. I continued to work with contractors such as Cray Gunn and his company Custom Carpentry Group on various remodel projects in Carrboro and Chapel Hill.
I relocated to Mebane, NC after completing construction on my new home in 2002. The experience of building my own home from the ground up increased my appreciation of the process as a customer as well as a tradesman. Having been on both sides of the coin, I understand the concerns of financing a project and coordinating the completion of the work in a timely manner.
Since 2002 I have reestablished my regular service area west of Raleigh, NC. I have over 14 years of experience as a licensed plumber in NC and as a small business owner. I take great pride in offering one on one service for a reasonable price. I look forward to expanding my client base by continuing to provide reliable and informed plumbing services to general contractors, homeowners and small business owners in the greater Triangle area.
